STEM Designation

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, a branch of Homeland Security, has designated NAHCEU in computer information systems as a STEM-eligible degree program (CIP code 11,0101). With this designation, qualified graduates using student visas can easily have access to Optional Practical Training (OTP). The OTP can be extended for up to 36 months against the 12 months available to non-STEM degrees. This extension allows international students to work longer periods and get more hands-on experience in the United States.
